Everything at Intentional Education is grounded in two non-negotiables: integrity and respect. Integrity means we will always tell you the truth about where your scholar is and what they need in terms of educational consultation. Respect means we hold every child to the highest standard of what they are capable of and treat every family as the expert on their own child, ensuring we provide the best tutoring services and family advocacy.
We begin every relationship by listening. We listen to the family during our educational consultation. We listen to the scholar. Then we build a plan that is entirely specific to your child, grounded in data, and designed to produce real progress. Our tutoring services ensure that we communicate before, during, and after every session. With your permission, we also engage in family advocacy by collaborating with teachers, therapists, and service providers to keep everyone aligned.
Every educator at Intentional Education holds dual certification in elementary and special education and is trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology and multisensory instruction. Our consultants offer more than just tutoring services; they serve as coaches for scholars and families, providing valuable educational consultation and family advocacy. Intentional Education is a boutique practice by design, keeping our client base small so every family receives the attention and individualization this work demands.
Jaci Chartier has spent her entire career inside the education system, not observing it, but building it, fixing it, and advocating within it at every level.
From classroom teacher to Assistant Principal of Special Education, she has written hundreds of IEPs, led school-wide intervention teams, and sat across the table from families at some of the most consequential moments of their child's educational journey. She knows what schools can offer. She knows exactly where they fall short.
At the heart of everything she does is a genuine love for students. Jaci believes every child deserves instruction that meets them where they are, builds on what they can do, and never stops reaching for what they are capable of becoming. That belief has guided every role she has held and every student she has served.
Intentional Education exists because those two things are rarely the same, and every family deserves someone in their corner who understands the difference.
Jaci holds NJ Standard Certifications in Special Education and Elementary Education and is trained in Orton-Gillingham and multisensory instruction. She graduated from St. John's University with a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education and was honored as the keynote student speaker at the School of Education graduation.
She built this practice for the families who deserve more than the system is designed to give.
